Before you start offering your treatments and work on clients, you should ensure you have the right and appropriate insurance cover in place to safeguard yourself and the future of your business.

Even if you feel that you have not been at fault or done anything wrong a client can still make a claim against you. Insurance is vital to protect you when claims are made against you. Our massage diploma courses are all insurable, allowing you to get insurance, practise on the general public and charge them for the treatment.

If you already have insurance cover, please check that your provider can add our courses to your existing cover. You can almost always add our courses to your insurance if you have an anatomy and physiology qualification.

If you're looking for an insurance company, you might want to have a look at the companies listed below. You can request a quote and get them to arrange public and professional liability cover for you after you have successfully completed our courses.

Towergate Professional Risks specialises in professional liability insurance (including professional indemnity insurance) for  complementary and alternative therapists and arts therapists. With many years experience, they understand the needs of those practising in these areas.

Their complementary therapy insurance policy provides cover which combines public liability, professional indemnity, product liability, and libel & slander. They provide insurance for hundreds of complementary therapies and can cover up to ten therapies under one policy.

An estimated 5.75 million people a year now go to see a complementary practitioner for treatment in the UK. A recent BBC poll revealed one in five Britons now opt to use complementary therapies. For UK-based professionals, insurance cover operates anywhere in the world and covers working from or at any premises (e.g. health centre, surgery, rented room, shared premises from home or at a client location).

Choose from a £1m or £2m indemnity limit (higher limits available on request) for each claim. The policy also pays for legal costs of defending a claim and any of the claimant's legal costs awarded against you. To get a quote click here.
