At the end of this 1-day course you will be able to perform a relaxing and soothing Indian Head Massage on others. You could use it to practise on friends and family or incorporate it into your business as a service. Indian Head Massage is now a well known and widely available therapeutic treatment that customers of all ages and backgrounds are seeking in addition to the more traditional body massages. Nearly all quality treatment rooms now offer this service as part of their treatment portfolio.
Indian Head Massage is an extremely effective therapy that has evolved from traditional techniques practised in India as part of family rituals for over a thousand years. This massage works on particular areas of the body, especially the head, neck and the shoulders where stress affects major muscle groups, and it often brings immediate relief. Tensions are eased and fibrous knots and nodules melt away. The efficiency of the circulatory and lymphatic systems improves, toxins are dispersed from tense muscles and flexibility and fluidity of movement is restored.
Some of the benefits:
- Relieves tension, headaches, neck and back pain
- Alleviates stress and promotes relaxation - a popular massage
often requested for general well-being
- Stimulates lymphatic drainage, helping to remove toxins and boosts
the immune system
- Restores joint mobility and improves circulation
- Indian Head Massage reaches all energy centres where tension
accumulates.
Workshops are held between 10am and 5pm in Brighton, Newbury and Oxford.
London courses start at 11am and finish at 6pm.

Indian Head Massage Course Details
This 1-day course is ideal for beginners with no massage experience or therapists looking to add this popular therapy to their existing treatments. The full course structure can be found at the bottom of this page.
There is a detailed full practical demonstration for the entire class to observe which is broken down into smaller sections, making it easy to follow & learn.
We only run small courses of up to 6 people which is necessary to give you individual attention and to respond fully to any questions you may have. We will make you feel comfortable and relaxed in this learning environment and you will be encouraged to communicate freely and openly in the class.
There is an opportunity for practical application of your newly acquired skills and there is a practical test at the end to assess your new skills. As part of the training, you will practise an Indian head massage and receive one yourself. We believe it is as important for you to learn the different massage techniques as to experience them. Only then you will know what your future clients will experience during their Indian head massage treatment.
Following successful completion of the practical assessment, you will receive your 'Practitioner's Certificate' and insurance details, enabling you to use this treatment with the general public.
